Diane's Legacy

Diane's Legacy is simple: to tell the story.

What hasn’t been simple is consolidating all the information she kept over the years to do that. Life has its own agenda and timeline. The project has always been bigger than the setbacks: flooded records, stolen laptops, ipads, hard drives and deleted years of electronic records.  The story was meant to be told. It is a pleasure to start this process, which will unravel with posts not in chronological order, but in the order we can edit and post them.

The Difference You Make is Diane’s blog, which shares real, unpolished glimpses into the huge range of support the family experienced along their high special needs children’s journey. It is a combination of  written and visual posts, as well as many videos sharing what that help looked like.

This blog's content is NOT directed to other special needs parents. In fact, it is suggested it may even be insensitive to show other special needs families all the kind gestures that others did to help someone else that they are not necessarily receiving. What IS suggested is that you connect to it and share it with others who like yourself, may at some point, be in a position to help or direct similar help to others.

Basically, Diane's real life stories are shared to invite people to understand the difference they can make, and encourage support of others through simple actions and gestures.

The posts are a way to say thank you, and a testament to The Difference You (can) Make in someone else’s life.
