Carling's Legacy

Ride In My Footsteps is Carling's legacy program which offers healthy children an opportunity to spend a half day in a wheelchair. The program is a way for any community to participate through schools for children in grades K-8.  Carling wanted her peers and other youth to know what it feels like to be the one in the chair, to better understand those who need wheelchairs. The program fosters learning and compassion.

Her website offers suggested ways to incorporate Ride In My Footsteps into curriculum and activities for primary or middle school students.
